| Beijing will ease rules for foreign talents to enter, exit and acquire permanent residence Beijing will ease rules for foreign talents to enter, exit and acquire permanent residence in the city. The new regulations are scheduled to take effect on March 1, announced the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 12. Beijing’s new international talent policy is a direct result of the work of CCG, which is the only think tank that has been involved throughout the policymaking process. Many of CCG’s policy recommendation have been integrated into the 20 new regulations. The new policy aims to lead to an influx of highly-educated and skilled foreigners enter the country. Beijing also looks to attract talented Chinese recent graduates and workers abroad when the new policy coming into effect. [READ MORE]>>

| IOM, CCG Jointly Releases Chinese Version of World Migration Report 2015 On March 17, 2016, International Organization for Migration (IOM) and The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) jointly launched the Chinese version of the World Migration Report 2015. The annual report lays out the latest trends in global migration, analyzes the connections between migration and urban diversity, and discusses many other issues related to migration and social and economic development. The launching ceremony was hosted by IOM Representative to China Par Liljert.
