On 9th September, according to the invitation of CSSA UK and Oxford CSSA, CCG Director gave a lecture on "China in Transition: National Talent Strategies and Opportunities for Global Talent". This lecture offered an overall picture of China’s talent strategies which have been in rapid change in recent years. In particular, he introduced the initiative of Recruit Program of Global Experts launched by the Central Organization Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. This lecture was held in one of the most famous colleges of University of Oxford, Magdalen College, and more than 100 doctors, professors and relating scholars attended. CCG Director discussed with the participants on the vision of overseas Chinese talents’ returning and entrepreneurship in China as well as the challenges they might face. Participative scholars who with great interest to the current situation of the development of Chinese and foreign talents, were actively involved in the discussion by raising insightful questions and making good suggestions on the personnel returning from overseas development, innovation and particularly entrepreneurship.
Subsequently, CCG Director visited University of Manchester according to the invitation of CSSA UK and Manchester CSSA, and made a report about the research on the entrepreneurship of Chinese returnees. CCG Director told the audiences who aspire to start business in China about the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurship made by global talents and overseas returnees. This research report was a part of the 2011 CSSAUK High-level Entrepreneurship Challenge which is very meaningful to the entrepreneurship corporation and talents exchange between China and UK. During this report, CCG Director was hired as the Honorary Advisor for the entrepreneurship challenge by CSSA UK.
During the visit in UK, CCG Director also attended the conference which was co-hosted by Durham University and Journal of European Finance on the topic of "China’s Financial Market". During the conference, CCG Director talked about "The Pattern Analysis of Chinese Enterprises to Go Out" and "The Strategy of China’ s Overseas Talents". Many participative scholars are overseas talents, therefore, CCG Director introduced the policies relating to recruiting global talents and he also encouraged them to go to China and start businesses.
