In a bid to attract foreign talents, the Chinese capital of Beijing has eased its permanent stay policies for foreigners.
Enacted on March 1, the 20 new policies are under a trial run in Beijing’s Zhongguancun area, known as China’s Silicon Valley.
They target professionals, overseas Chinese and employees of startups who hold foreign passports.
The new measures feature more flexible criteria, a simplified application procedure and a shorter approval time.
