Long Yongtu

Former Vice Minister of Commerce and China’s Chief negotiator for China’s admission to the WTO, former Secretary General of the Boao Forum, People’s Republic of China

Long Yongtu, Chairman of CCG Advisory Board. Mr. Long is a former associate minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and a former secretary general at Boao Forum for Asia. Mr. Long was also the chief negotiator for Chinese GATT and WTO negotiations. Mr. Long graduated from Guizhou University and has been in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation since 1965.  In 1973, he attended London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with an honorary doctorate degree in Economics. Mr. Long is a secretary general at G-20 Group while serving as the president at the School of International and Public Affairs in Fudan University. Mr. Long has been awarded CCTV 2003 Annual Economic Figures and the United Nations Special Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions on promoting cooperation between the UN and China. Mr. Long is also the chief editor for Globalization, WTO , China and On the Road with Long Yongtu.
