Wang Huiyao, professor and doctoral supervisor, is a Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, President of Center for China and Globalization, Counselor of the State Council, President of South China Global Talent Institute, President of Professional Committee of China Global Talent, Vice Chairman of China Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA)/Chinese Overseas Student Association,and Vice Chairman of China Association for International Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce.Dr. Wang is currently a Senior Fellow at Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, a board member of Ivey Asia Business School in Hong Kong, a Steering Committee Member of International Metropolis and sits on the advising board of Association of Executive Search Consultants,.  He was also a Visiting Fellow at Brookings Institution in the USA. Dr. Wang’s international management experience includes serving as Chief Trade Representative for  Quebec Government Office in Hong Kong and China, Director-Asia of SNC-Lavalin and Vice President for AMEC-Agra in Canada, both among the largest project management firms in the world. He had also worked as senior adviser to GE, Siemens, Alston, ABB, Westinghouse, and Mitsubishi for their China strategy and business development in China.Dr. Wang has published over 40 English and Chinese books and more than 100 articles and papers on global talents, education, Chinese entrepreneurs, Chinese returnees, Chinese MNCs and Chinese foreign investment.

Tang Min, Vice President of CCG. Mr. Tang is the consultant of the State Council,Vice Secretary General of China Development Research Foundation.Mr. Tang got his Economics Ph.D. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A.. He joined Asian Development Bank in 1989 as an economist of the Research Department of Asian Development Bank and later became a Senior Economist responsible for strategic design and policy research of some South Asian countries.

Li Shichang, Vice President of CCG. Mr. Li has earned his master degree from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.


David Zweig, Vice President of CCG. Mr. Zweig is the Chair Professor of Social Science, Associate Dean of the School for Humanities and Social Science (SHSS), and Director of the Center on Environment, Energy, and Resource Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Zweig is also Associate Director of the South China Global Talent Institute with the Centre for China and Globalization since 2012. He obtained his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan in 1983.


Liu Yanning, Vice President of CCG. Ms. Liu is the Executive Director of China Council for the Promotion of Nationality Trade (CCPNT) of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Expert of China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association Experts Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the P.R.C., and Senior Expert of China Federation of IT Promotion Experts Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.


Liu Ke, Vice President of CCG. Mr. Liu is Vice President of Haldor Topsoe. He had worked in Technology of NICE, Exxon-Mobil, United Technologies Corp (UTC) and General Electric over the years, and most recently he was the Gasification Platform Technology Leader & Principal Scientist of GE Global Research Center. Dr. Liu has numerous publications & over 65 patents & patent applications. Dr. Ke Liu was selected to win the 2013 PITT Award.

Lu (Mabel) Miao , Co-founder & Secretary General of CCG. Dr. Miao got her PhD degree on Contemporary Chinese Studies from Beijing Normal University and  had been a visiting scholar at New York University and Harvard University. She has participated in a number of Chinese government’s and Social Science Foundation’s research projects and she has published many research papers and books. The latest new well known Chinese Blue Books she has authored and edited are: The Chinese Enterprises Globalization Report 2014/2015;The Chinese Overseas Students Development Report 2013/2014; The Chinese Overseas Returnees Development Report 2013/2014/2015; Chinese Overseas Professionals Report 2014; Chinese Enterprises Globalization Report 2014/2015;Chinese International Migration Report 2015; all published by China Social Science Academy Press, the most prestigious publishing house under China Social Science Academy. Her latest book also includes Global Think tanks, which is the best seller on the subject in China. Cheng Nailing(Nellie Cheng), Vancouver Representative of CCG. Ms. Cheng has followed a distinguished path of public service in Canada and the United States for more than 25 years and established a track record in global business development. She is presently working with World Green Building Council and U.S. Green Building Council. She received the first World GBC Chairman's award in 2011, in recognition of her significant contribution to the global green building movement. She is currently a member of the City of Vancouver's Multicultural Advisory Committee. Nellie Cheng obtained her Master Degree in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and Executive Management Diploma from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.


David Zweig, Hong Kong Representative of CCG. Mr. Zweig is the Chair Professor of Social Science, Associate Dean of the School for Humanities and Social Science (SHSS), and Director of the Center on Environment, Energy, and Resource Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dr. Zweig is also Associate Director of the South China Global Talent Institute with the Centre for China and Globalization since 2012. He obtained his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan in 1983.



Guo Shengxiang, Sydney Representative of CCG.  Mr. Guo is a renowned Australian economist, and he is graduated from management department of Wuhan University in 1988, then earned his financial Ph.D Degree from Gonzaga University in 1993. 


Lu Yong, New York and DC Representative of CCG. Ms. Lu is the CEO and Founder of Evergreen Asia Advisors, LLC. Previously, she was an Executive Director at CCS, a leading nonprofit fundraising and strategic consulting firm. From 2006-2011, she was the Director of Research at the Committee of 100. Prior to C100, Lu served as Program Manager for the Asia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She was the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Carnegie China Insight Monthly.Lu received a B.A. in Communications from Fudan University and an M.A. in International Relations from Yale University. She is the author of The Third Force: America’s Nonprofit Organizations and People-to-People Diplomacy (2011).

Xing Bin, Paris Representative of CCG. Mr. Xing is the dean of big data processing and analysis department of ATOS ORIGIN. He own rich experience in the field of structure design of complex system, especially for the transmission, storage and real-time processing of multimedia information. His working experiences include international cooperative engineer of Dassault Group and senior engineer of CS Group. Mr. Xing earned his Ph.D of data processing from Ecole Centrale Paris.

Wei Wang, Frankfurt Representative of CCG.. Ms. Wang obtained two master degrees in the Georgetown University in PR/Communications and International Development, respectively, as well as a bachelor degree in China’s Foreign Affairs University. She worked in an international PR firm as a consultant for Chinese companies going abroad, including Tsingtao Beer, Haier, and Hanergy. Prior to that, she was a decade-long international news reporter for Xinhua News Agency, and has been assigned to the Philippines and the United States.

Ding Xuefeng, Deputy Secretary-General of CCG, Executive Director of North China Gloabl Talent Institute,and he  is first Ph.D in the talent research area in China. Before that,  he was the deputy general director of  Economic  Division of China Research  Talent, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

Yang Qian, Deputy Secretary of CCG. Ms. Yang got bachelor degree of Economic Management in Jinan University and MBA of Beijing University, who was an chief director of New Alliance Internatioal Communications Group and also as an executive secretary of EMBA of Beijing university. Yan Shufen Emily, Director of Department of International Research, obtained LLM from China University of Political Science and Law and MPA from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. She previously worked with the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council of China, and is familiar with the operation of the Chinese government, the process of policy making and international exchanges in term of policy making.

William Daniel Garst, Senior Researcher of CCG.  He obtained his BA from University of Southern California, Ph.D. in political science from the University of Minnesota and subsequently held visiting professorial appointments at a number of U.S. universities, including U.C.L.A., Cornell, and the University Michigan, where he taught comparative politics and the history and politics of economic globalization.  Mr. Garst moved to China in 2005 and has lived in Beijing since 2006.  Before joining CCG, he worked for Hill + Knowlton as a senior consultant.  In July of 2009, he began doing free-lance journalism and has published over 100 articles, including numerous pieces on business and economic affairs in China dealing with individual firms and industries, unemployment, socio-economic inequality, the Chinese rich, managing foreign exchange liberalization, and pension reform.  This work has appeared in CHINA DAILY, CHINA DIGEST, THE FINANCIALIST, CKGSB KNOWLEDGE magazine, and a private e-newsletter for investors and business people, CHINA CAPITALIST.  Before coming to China, Mr. Garst published several scholarly articles in leading peer review journals like COMPARATIVE POLITICAL STUDIES, INTERNATIONAL STUDIES QUARTERLY, and THEORY AND SOCIETY on international relations theory and trade and political coalition formation.
